Naku.. Sobrang late na nitong post na 2.. Kasi pumutok ang aming monitor.. Pero di bale, kwento ko na rin habang natatandaan ko pa dahil full of happy memories toh.. Heto na:

One Shot at Being an Emcee!

Wahaha.. Isa itong napakalaking JOKE! Nabiktima nanaman ako ng mga kalokohan ni GCka. Matapos ang aming Physics class, nilapitan ni Gcka si Ma'am Mallari. Tapos tinanong niya kung sino na raw ang magiging partner niya sa paghohost nung "prestigious" Inter - High School Physics Mind Brawl. Ang sabi naman ni Ma'am Mallari ay hindi pa siya sigurado dahil busy si Mikhail sa kaniyang pagiging Dept. Head of Social kaya hindi raw makakapagpractice. Tapos.. bigla ba naman akong iprinesenta ni Gcka! Sabi niya kami nalang daw ang mag-emcee. Kaya aun, kaming tatlo nina Weng at Gcka ang naging masters of ceremony. At dahil rin dun, bitter c Niño kay Gcka.. haha..

Sa mismong araw nung contest medyo hindi mapakali ang mga staff kasi yung expected na 18 schools na magpaparticipate ay nalagas at naging 8 schools. Btw, hindi kasali ang MaSci dahil host school ito. Anyway, the show must go on.. Medyo naiinip na yung mga contestants at trainors na naghihintay sa Media Center kaya pinakanta muna si Vanir. Kinanta ni Vanir ang "No Ordinary Love." Ganda ng boses! Kaso mukhang busy pa ang ating mga contestants sa pag-aaral. Hehe. After nun nagsimula na ang programme. Una, kumuha ng written exam yung mga contestants sa may rm. 205 habang nakikinig naman sa seminar ang kanilang trainors. Si Weng ang naghohost sa mga panahong ito.

Around 10:30 nasa may auditorium na kami ni Gcka para tumulong at magpractice ng sasabihin. Si Pia rin at ibang PION officers ay abala sa paghahanda. Maya-maya pa ay nagbihis na kami ni gcka. Ang sexy ni gcka! Haha. (magfifiling nanaman yun pagnabasa niya 2). Ang tangkad pati niya, ilang inches kaya heels nun? =) Natagalan magsimula kasi meron pang mga hinihintay.. Tulad na lamang ng.. Chalk at eraser na gagamitin ng aming beloved contestants!Ü Hai, boring talaga yung contest kasi konti lang yung kasali at wala silang mga baon na taga palakpak/cheer atska mabagal yung pacing dahil matagal ung time limit bawat question. Natapos ang semi-final round at medyo naninigas na rin ang aming paa. Buti na lang at pinasa na namin ang pag-eemcee kay Weng for the Final Round.

Humanities Play

Dahil nga abala kami sa paghohost, hindi na kami nakapanood ng group presentations sa Huma. Balita ko pa naman ay umaapaw sa drama ang Cenakulo nila. Talagang totohanan na ang paghampas ng latigo at kung anu-ano pa. Tapos marami ring kilig moments sila JK at Russel. Haha. Kumanta pa si JK ng "Broken Vow", hanep sa galing!

Magnificent Night

After classes, nagtungo kami sa bahay ni Pat. Magluluto kasi yung girls ng ensaymada project nila sa T.H.E. eh pati mga lalake sumama na rin. Ang saya ng bonding namin. Nakakatuwa si Queeny, kapatid ni Pat. Napaka-gifted na bata at ang kyut pa! Hindi na kami nakapagsimba dahil gabing-gabi na kaya dumaan nalang kami sa isang church sa may Tayuman. Halos lahat kami first time makapunta roon kaya nagwish kami! Ang peaceful ng surroundings..

Family Day + Dance Maniax Extreme

Ito ang first-ever Family Day ng MaSci. Late na ako nagising kaya nagmadali na ako sa pagkain at pagbihis. May parang color coding rin kami, at dapat violet ang suot ng Einstein. Eh kaso wala akong violet na shirt, ung sophies lng. Kaya blue na lang ang sinuot ko. Sakto pa na pag-alis ko ng bahay ay sobrang traffic. Kaya lubos-lubos na ang pagkalate ko. Hehe. Pagdating sa MaSci nakita ko sila Nikko, aun kaya may kasama na kagad ako. Masaya naman, hyper nga yung mga tao eh. Todo si Ma'am Aniban, hindi rin siya masyadong energetic! Nakikipag showdown pa sa mascot ng Chocquik. Pero hindi magpapatalo si Sir Bangayan! Hanep sa dance moves! Hehe. Nakatutuwa naman kasi marami ring parents na nagparticipate. Pati sa games game na game sila. Meron ring local game ang Einstein at yun ang unahan sa pag-ubos ng inumin! Una, dun sa free taste Iced Tea. Kumuha muna kami ng tag-iisang cup at unti-unting bumilog. Suspense muna, tapos .. 1, 2, 3.. Inom!! Hehe. Waw, tawa kami ng tawa kaya hindi kami maka-inom ng maayos. Baka kasi mamaya maibuga namin yung iniinom namin. At may part 2 pa, sugod naman sa may Choquik. Hehe.

Kumain ang ibang Einstein (Leslie, JK and mom, Paul F., Nikko, Kamz, Jean, Pacheco Family, at aku) sa KFC. Ang bait ng Mommy ni JK, bumili siya ng Variety Bucket tapos shinare niya sa lahat! Maraming Salamat po! Matapos kumain, derecho naman kami sa SM Manila para mag dance maniax. Inangkin na namin nila Nikko, Kamz, Jean at Paul ung machine. Si kamz, hindi man lang pinagpawisan, panu b yan? Paminsan bigla-biglang nawawala si Paul, dun lang pala sa arcade pumupunta para mag-tekken. Aun, enjoy naman kami!

Deja vu

Hindi rin ako masyadong maaga para manood ng "The Lieutenant's Princess." Biruin niyo, nandun na ako before 12:00, eh supposed to be 2:00 pa ang start nung play. Umuulan nung mga oras na iyon kaya pumasok na kaagad ako sa loob ng St. Paul. Una, patambay-tambay muna ako sa may hall, naghihintay ng ibang Einstein pipz. Tapos nagtataka ako bakit parang walang taong dumarating kaya nagtanong ako kay manong guard kung anung oras ba ung start nung play. Sabi naman niya, "Kanina pa nagsimula ung play, pasok ka na sa loob." Eh di pasok naman ako. Nasa may kalagitnaan na yung play, nakakuha ako ng upuan malapit dun sa may pintuan. Eh di yun tuloy-tuloy parin ako sa panonood. Tinitingnan ko rin ung mga katabi ko kung mayroon ba akong kakilala. Napansin ko na mukhang college na ung mga nanonood at wala rin akong makitang MaScian. Kaya't aking napagtanto na nasa first batch ako ng mga manonood. Haha. Ang kasama ko pala ay students ng Holy Trinity College.

Bago matapos ung play lumabas na ako at nag-abang ng makakasama. Nakita ko si Granada tapos naghanap kami ng ibang Einstein. Naka-upo kami kasama ang mga Einstein, katabi ko si Hagar. Kwinento ko sa kanila yung nangyari na napanood ko na yung play. Nung una ayaw nilang maniwala dahil absurd naman talaga ang pangyayari. Tapos habang nagpapatuloy ung play, sinasabayan ko yung dialogue at mga scenes. Panay spoilers nga ang hatid ko kay Hagar eh. Laugh trip talaga. =)

Applying Physics in our lives?

Habang inaantay yung iba na dumating sa bahay nila Thea para sa practice, naisipan namin na maglaro sa see-saw. O diba balik pagkabata? Anyway habang naglalaro, meron pa kaming isang naisipan! At yun ay ang i-rank ang sarili namin according to weight gamit ang see-saw! Ang kulet nga ni Jean eh, experiment raw sa p6. Tapos ang naging result ay (from lightest to heaviest): Jean, JK, Anna, Ako, CM, Rafael, Russel, Ph, James, Leslie?.. Basta may discrepancy kasi yan! Hehe.. Ang saya ng "practice" namin! Nauwi lang siya sa kantahan ng chessy songs! I wonder how, I wonder why, I wonder where they are. The days we had, the songs we sang together, ohh yeah?

Carol Fest a.k.a. Free Concert/Ultimate Dance Competition

Mapalad ang Einstein na mapabilang sa finals ng Carol Fest. Ayos naman, medyo kinakabahan lang talaga kami nung nagpresent kasi pangalawa kami after ng Lawrence. Nakalimutan tuloy namin ung ibang choreo. Pero aus na rin. Bitter nga lang ung ibang Einstein nung inannounce yung winners. Ang kulet nga eh, parinigan talaga. "Mali ata yung nasalihan natin eh.. Dance Competition ata toh..", "Ano, nag-enjoy ba kayo sa concert na napanood niyo?", "Dapat pala kinanta nalang medley ng mga novelty songs, BOOM tarat, tarat!"

Hehe. Sa akin ayos lang naman kahit hindi manalo. Masaya pa rin naman. Congrats sa Lawrence! Ang galing niyo talaga! Astig.. Ang ingay ng Einstein pagbalik sa room. Syempre, celebration ng b-day ni Ronalee B.(itter) Pedron! Mabuhay ang bagong kasal! Hehe..

Whew.. Ang haba naman nitong post na toh..

It's so hard when people just wouldn't listen.

I used to belong to this group of people who are so stubborn that they only care for their unintelligent acts and opinions without any consideration for the populace around them. But I have changed... A lot.

I've known persons who get annoyed when others would not care about what they are saying. Some may shout to get their audience's attention while others just give up and resort to giving you that menacing stare. They hate the thought of people not paying attention to what they're saying, but when it's their turn to give their ears, they wouldn't bother to do so. What a shame.

We don't need to shout to get heard. We just have to keep silent at times and give due respect to the one talking. I guess that's called courteous listening!

One side of it.

It was a very disheartening experience. The word "respect" was suddenly nowhere to be found. I was just asking for a small favor but they turned it down.

Another side of it.

Maybe they just have more important things on their minds. Or they're not in the mood to listen. I may not know that they are burdened with more complicated problems. I must not judge too quickly or get affected that easily.

How do we give voice to the mute or oppressed when even those who already have the guts to speak are not given the chance to elucidate their side?

I believe that the construction started in March. It started as a piece of desolate land and nothing more, situated in the corner of Samar and Humunhon. Then construction began. The workers built a small quarter at the back where they could stay in while work is in progress. Little by little, with all the strength they could muster, they worked to build the foundation of the house. For months, this procedure of mixing cement with water went on.

(Construction started: March 2006)

The people at the site, engineer, contractor and laborers, worked hand in hand to achieve an ultimate goal. I cannot really explain in detail everything that has happened for I wasn't there when the house was being built. Nevertheless, I know how hard it is to build a house. It is a very meticulous job, starting from its planning up to the finishing. They have all put in much effort and have endured many hardships especially my dad who supervised its construction all throughout.

I would like to extend my deepest gratitude for the workers who toiled for the completion of our house. Sometimes I think that it is ironic that these people have already built houses but still some of them do not own a decent place to live in. I just pray that God will continue to shower them with blessings, if not in the form of material wealth, maybe good health and a peaceful family life.

Now back to our trip. I was very reluctant to go with my other family members because there is some conflict between my cousins and me. There is this feeling of resentment that just can’t be erased. It's so distressing that it turned out this way. When we were young, we used to have so much fun together. We were bonded together like brothers and sisters since there are only six of us first cousins in our mother side.

Even though we were not totally in good terms, we still talked to each other. At one point, our conversation turned to our trip to Enchanted Kingdom 2yrs ago. It was a joyous moment to relive! We had the time of our lives enjoying each other's company that time. I hope that everything would be settled soon, back to those glorious days when we were young.
